Isn’t is weird how when someone has mental/emotional/financial goals, there is not much moralizing it in society. But having physical goals and those changing with time is looked at so differently. For example, if I have a goal to learn another language or not, who cares? It’s something to work toward for me. And later I may have a different skill I practice. But if someone wants to look a certain way, change their body in some way, it’s suddenly soo touchy! To me it’s just another way to use this this life as a container for growth and experimentation.

Agreed. Especially when our physicality could be argued to be our least personal of representations in this life; it’s always visible, and on display to varying degrees. What isn’t on display is our minds. For that aspect, others largely only see what we want them to see.
